A painstakingly brushed cylinder of stainless steel, wrapped with a leather-coated shell made from the finest calfskin. An elaborate tanning process renders the calfskin stable and tough, yet smooth and supple. The leather wrap is available in black or dark brown.

The spring-loaded clip is polished to a high glosss, and rests on a metal pad which makes it easier to clip on to surfaces such as shirt and jacket pockets, with a spring force that remains constant for a lifetime.

The cap is a secure and satisfying screw-on design.

18-carat gold nib is rhodium-plated, and available in fine, medium or broad (note that in our opinion there is only a very small difference between nib sizes).

Supplied with a converter to allow use of bottled ink, the P'3150 also accepts international standard cartridges
